Essay / Gun Control and Rights - 745
Gun control is a set of laws that control the rate of sale, manufacture, possession, transfer, and modification of legal firearms. Gun control laws are different around the world. These laws help people stay safe and protected. These laws are necessary to prevent people from killing or threatening other people and living beings. Gun control in North Carolina consists of concealed carry permits, the right to bear arms, and the right to protect. These permits could have prevented or did prevent terrorism-related actions. People could have fought back against external threats. This could have stopped many shootings at theaters, schools, malls and other places. This would have reduced the impact of these shootings. These permits could also help innocent people protect themselves. For example, an innocent bystander was attacked, he could simply pull out a gun and threaten or shoot him. This makes spectator protection very high. These permits could potentially reduce the risk of theft and personal items. Civilians could fire with the intent to injure or kill the threat. This gives good protection to many civilians. By threatening the criminal, they could surrender and flee, and in the worst case scenario, they would fight back. But you have the protection of a gun. This gives civilians the opportunity to have good protection. The criminal could be overtaken by passers-by and give up or run away. Concealed permits could also prevent home invasions. The threat could be shot or asked to leave the property. If the criminal is shot, he is less likely to fight back. This gives better protection to friends and/or family. It could also protect personal property ... middle of paper ... guns and less stress regarding laws. But even if the attacks were small and rare, gun control would still be essential to prevent more attacks and/or shootings. Gun control is managed through the right to protect, the right to bear arms, and concealed carry permits. Concealed permits allow you to bring firearms into public places where they are not restricted. The right to protect gives civilians the ability to defend themselves. The right to bear arms gives civilians the opportunity to own firearms and receive good protection. Gun control laws restrict the distribution, possession, sale, and manufacture of firearms in the United States. Senate/PDF/S124v0.pdfhttp://www.keepandbeararms.com/information/XcIBViewItem.asp?ID=1728
