Students whose major is undecided are at higher risk of attrition. Students whose major is undecided lack knowledge about their major, career, and their own interest in a workplace, so students develop prolonged indecision characteristics; Most students develop laziness because they have developed a mentality of liberal attitude towards their major. Ohio State University conducted a 25-year observational study of 19,000 students who had not majored. Additionally, 22%, 31%, and 43% of these students had a completely undecided major, tentatively decided, and various ideas about the major respectively were not ready to decide. Due to students' low level of educational aspiration, the university dropout rate may increase in the future.
