    Finding long-term employment has been almost impossible for him. “Most employers today conduct background checks, even for entry-level positions.” (Uggen, 143). While it is understandable to desire a sense of security and assurance for the well-being of the company, it is a bit extreme that someone who committed a crime ten or fifteen years ago can never obtain an entry-level job. This realization along with review of my prior moving in experience highlighted that I had participated in acting on a bias and stigmatization of someone with a crime.
