In America, an important issue that we should look at is sexually active young adolescents. It seems that almost all teenagers are sexually active. They have sex at such an early age. A question that comes to mind is: do they really know what sex is? Growing up, Catholic teachings told me to wait until marriage. It is said that sex before marriage is a sin. Today, not only do churches teach abstinence, but so do schools. Premarital sex is a growing problem: it usually results in unwanted pregnancy, in some cases; forced abortion, sexually transmitted diseases, final emotions of remorse. Teen sex is a problem not only for them, but perhaps for their children and for America as a whole. Sex before marriage has always been a major problem. Teenage pregnancies appear to be doubling every year: with no signs of stopping. Some adolescent girls misuse contraceptives and methods of contraception.
