In the international construction market, competition is intense and cost competition largely reduces the potential for domestic market expansion abroad. (Building for Tomorrow)SWOT AnalysisThe strengths of the construction industry include the sustainability of the sector, but not as much for individual companies. Government contracts are a big draw to the industry and offer well-paying opportunities, as well as creating from scratch something designed to be a home. Weaknesses include the decentralized part of the industry which seems unstable even though the industry itself never disappears. The control of international companies over national companies is another problem partially limited by international laws. However, parts for construction are largely manufactured overseas, further limiting the potential of domestic companies. The high cost of starting a construction business is also a deterrent for new entrepreneurs in the sector.
