I believe that it is the respect of my elders that has brought me this far in my career, a quality that I have inherited. I can easily adapt to different environments, as evidenced by my work in all areas of medicine. While working at the Civil Hospital in Karachi, I learned how to function in an under-resourced environment, and then while working in the United States, I learned how to function in a well-resourced environment. I want to bring new ideas to the field of medicine. Einstein has always fascinated me. I'm not saying I want to be Einstein, but I can be an inventor. I intend to engage in cutting-edge research opportunities, publish articles, and maintain the field of medicine in value. After completing my residency, I plan to continue my training as a fellow in a subspecialty, which I have not yet decided on. I will look at each residency rotation to see what appeals to me the most. In the future, I see myself as part of an academic hospital where I can grow my practice and stay connected to an academic institution. I know that I have the qualities and the desire to live a life as a successful woman in today's world.
