The movie I chose to talk about is called “The Wizard of Oz”. Going through each genre and carefully selecting which genre this film belongs to, I chose the fantasy genre. A scene in the film that particularly strikes me is the one where the character of Dorothy meets the scarecrow played by Ray Bolger. The song this character sings is called "If Only I Had a Brain". Knowing the popularity of the film, this scene is well known to people who watched it. Another scene that stands out is why the film begins in black and white, while Dorothy is still stuck in Kansas. As she heads towards fairytale land, colorful lighting begins to appear. The color changing effect really gives an overwhelming feeling to the viewer.
