I spent a week at the Institute of Medical Sciences and the Rowett Institute in Aberdeen and this stay made me realize how diverse the profession of doctor could be, because many doctors were part-time professors or conducted research projects while being a practicing physician. Through this, I was able to develop and demonstrate my interpersonal skills and recognized the important effect that human contact can have on an individual. It filled me with joy to see their faces light up as I walked in, knowing that I had made a difference in their day.
