Essay / Letters to Pastors - 1271
To the pastors of the Churches of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, grace, peace from God our Father and from Christ Jesus our Lord. I thank God for his son Jesus who died on the cross so that we could be saved. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Glory to his name. Amen. I am writing to you regarding appropriate behavior as pastors regarding marriage and adultery. Not as a judgment, but to make sure you understand God's Word regarding this issue. My prayer for you is that you have a personal relationship with God. Jesus is the only perfect man who ever walked the earth. No sin was found in him; not even death could hold him back. I don't question your salvation because I believe you are saved. My goal is to remind you of what God's Word says regarding the issue of marriage and adultery. When we all get married, we all make vows to our wives in the presence of God, a minister and a witness. God considers these marriage vows a divine ordinance (Genesis 2:18-24), as evidence of a man's desire to love his wife as Christ loves the Church. Husbands love their wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself (Ephesians 5). Husbands should love their wives like their own bodies. God ordained marriage between a man and a woman as the closest union between two human beings. What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder (Mark 10:9). This means that if another comes between a man and his wife and causes separation, they are separated..
