  • Essay / Drugs in sport give an unfair advantage - 591

My topic is drugs in sport. My opinion on drugs in sports is wrong and gives an unfair advantage to users. Doping (taking banned drugs to improve performance) in professional sport is illegal. Many people do drugs because it makes them better at their sport. For some athletes, doping comes with the possibility of sporting, personal and financial reward. For many people, the difference between failure and victory can seem as small as a pill in the palm of their hand. The drugs taken by addicts give them an unfair advantage, enhancing their athletic improvement. Why Athlete Doping is a complex issue and an interaction between many factors. One factor is societal pressure to succeed. Another reason is that they strive for victory in personal success. Athletes can also be victims of accidental consumption by taking over-the-counter medications containing prohibited substances. What are the different types of medications? Well, there are three common types of medications: pills, medications, and injections. The only medications or pills to use are those intended to treat sports injuries or cure illness. Those that give an unfair advantage should not be used. Medicine is for people with health problems. These are not healthy athletes who are doing it just to have an advantage in their games. One of the most common things used by athletes are inhalers, intended for people with asthma. The reason athletes use them is because they increase their oxygen consumption and allow you to do something for longer without taking a break. One method of injection is blood doping. Blood doping involves increasing the number of red blood cells. This causes more oxygen to be transported to the user's muscles than in any other non-blood doped person.
