Question: Describe the development of the car from its beginnings to the present day. Describe projects that are currently under research and/or development. Based on your findings, how do you think cars will evolve in the future? Use specific examples and provide evidence from appropriate references to explain your answer. During the second industrial revolution, there was a revolutionary development of a vehicle called a car. From then on, the car began to change our lives during these years. Today, the car has become more and more useful for moving from one place to another. I believe that in the future, cars will be able to use more types of fuels and have better energy saving ability. The history of the automobile is truly a legend. The first steam car was designed by Nicolas-Joseph. The top speed of this car is only 6 km/hour (GOCURRENCY, 2011). In addition, the weight of the car is very heavy, it was impossible to drive it on the road because there were no asphalt roads at the time. When the second industrial revolution arrived, the internal combustion engine appeared and truly changed the future of automobiles. In 1807, François Isaac de Rivaz designed the first internal combustion engine, using a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen to generate power, which made the car lighter. In September 1893, after several small modifications to Lenoir's design, the first gasoline-powered car appeared. Henry Ford was considered the first car on the road. Then they started selling cars with the Ford Motor Company established in 1903. So the car became a new travel tool instead of the car. The key development began in 1911.
