Starbucks has many competitors in this area, including restaurants, retail stores, and fast food chains. Its main competitors, however, are Dunkin' Donuts, McDonald's, Krispy Kreme and Keurig. (Yahoo! Finance, 2015). Starbucks is trying to get a head start on these competitors by differentiating their products and offering higher quality drinks and snacks than many of their competitors. Although the high quality of these items drives up the price of the products, it is evident that customers are willing to pay the extra price for Starbucks' offerings.
