There are courses for every topic you can imagine, from simple topics to crazy theories. However, some people refuse to recognize the need for just one course, sexual health education. I absolutely believe that sexual health education is necessary to improve the quality of life for today's students. Although these lessons should not encourage teens to participate in sexual acts, they should be accurate and only state facts about sex. Currently, there is no nationwide national program, but federal money is used to fund abstinence-only programs (Mackler). Comprehensive sexual health classes delay sexual activity, reduce teenage pregnancies, and decrease the number of adolescents infected with sexually transmitted diseases. Comprehensive sex education has been shown to be very effective in encouraging young people to participate in sexual acts later than usual. This course teaches them to be responsible in their sex life and to control their impulses. Research strongly supports this idea by examining current sex education programs. Of the 23 classes, 40 percent of them are responsible for the delay in sexual initiation and 14 classes showed a significant delay in the timing of first sexual intercourse (Comprehensive). The component responsible for this is the sex education program. The course helps students understand the importance of marriage and stable relationships as the primary goal of progressive development of community and society (Sawyer). Delaying the initiation and number of young people participating in sexual acts is only a small but important effect of sex education.
