Recent studies show that there is a correlation between obesity and other diseases such as cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure, to name a few. Other studies show that lack of sleep may be linked to weight gain, that religious social activities may lead to weight gain, and that women who have children. This article will discuss the evidence presented by three journal articles on whether they establish a correlation and causation between sleep, religion, motherhood, and obesity. What evidence does the article provide for an association (correlation) between the phenomena discussed?
