  • Essay / ‘The meaning of the text is as moral as its reader'

'The meaning of the text is as moral as its reader'The meaning of the text is often as moral as its reader. If the reader is intolerant, hateful, or oppressive, this will be the interpretation of the text. The reader's main goal is to understand what is described in the text. This understanding is based on factors such as biological, cognitive or behavioral problems. Individual readers can accept, modify, ignore or reject a text or any reading material, depending on their experience, attitudes and goals. Ultimately, the Quran speaks through its reader. Its interpretation depends on its reader. If one takes it as a sacred book then he will never judge it as a bad book nor any of its texts as false. If we delve deeper into this statement that the interpretation of the Quran is dependent on its reader, I think it would not be totally dependent for some reasons. This interpretation helps us establish a connection with God, a relationship with the Almighty. Interpretation requires delving into each commandment of God, however, interpretation is subjective and therefore there is always...... middle of paper. .....the retation can be taken in the manner permitted by God for Muslims, as it may happen that one needs to get a better interpretation of the Quranic knowledge. A Muslim can judge the phenomenon better than another. We can take this interpretation as best for our benefit as Muslims. So we concluded that different interpretations might be permitted by God for Muslims, as it may happen that one can understand Quranic knowledge better. A Muslim could judge her in a better way than any other. If we use proper methodology to understand the Quran, many of our problems can be easily resolved; it would be easier to arrive at fuller meanings of Quranic verses, and many objections leveled against the Quran by non-Muslims can be easily dismissed. We must therefore adopt the best interpretation in the interest of being Muslim...
