Throughout the process of tracking my diet and the nutrients I've been getting in it, it's made me think twice about what I eat and drink each day. This diet analysis made me realize how much I actually eat per day. It also showed me how much sodium and sugars I'm eating while I'm watching my diet. I discovered a lot about what I eat, how I eat and how good or bad it is for me. It made me realize that some things might change throughout my daily diet. By tracking my diet, I realized how many calories I normally eat per day. Throughout this tracking process, I had days where I ate 2,052 calories, 2,859 calories, and 2,332 calories. They say that based on my age, weight and gender, I should eat somewhere. When I began this analysis, I was curious to see how much fiber and sodium I was consuming on average per day. Well, I found that on average, I was below the amount of fiber I'm supposed to get in my 13 grams. For me, this is a big deal and it made me realize that maybe I should start eating foods with more fiber, or maybe even eat some sort of fiber bar to get this important nutrient that I need for my body. When it came to sodium, I was way over the under 2,300 mg amount. For me, I need to take a closer look at the amounts of sodium in the foods I eat daily to maintain a healthy sodium level. Excessive sodium consumption can lead to high blood pressure and possible heart disease. For me, this is important for my long-term health, because I want to live a long and healthy life. As for my diet overall, I need to focus more on eating more fiber, and eating less sodium is the biggest weakness in my diet. Another weakness I feel in my diet is the amount of vitamins I need to take in. I am below the amounts that should be absorbed. This is a weakness that I would like to see change in my diet. I think the biggest strength of my diet is the amount of protein and carbs I eat on average. For me, this is a great strength because I am an extremely active person. These components of my diet help me keep going and repair my body after a hard day.
