1. Describe your organization's benefits. What changes would you like to see made and why?I currently work as a temp for the state Department of Economic and Opportunity; the State does not grant any benefits to temporary employees. However, my latest employers offer good benefits. For me, benefits were a way of managing your workforce in the sense of motivating employees. It is a tool that many human resources (HR) use to manage organizations. The company is not the best in its industry; However, it's certainly better than most company benefits packages. The company offers a range of benefits such as medical benefits, vacation and a retirement plan. The medical benefits offered by the company are better than most other companies. The company outsources its administrative role to ADP Total Source, which manages employee benefits. Employees pay a small co-payment when visiting the doctor. For example, a regular visit to a network doctor costs only $25, regardless of the service provided. Second, a visit to an urgent health care facility, not the emergency room, costs fifty dollars if the visit is not to an in-network doctor. .Third, regular employees such as front-line employees and front-line supervisors receive a volume of hours for the entire year based on the employee's seniority. For example, an employee gets 40 hours of leave, which they can use whenever they want, for any reason. There is no set number of hours or days for sick days or vacation pay. Full-time staff members receive federal holiday pay, but it varies. If an employee were to take a holiday, they are paid for the full 8 hours. Rightly so, employees should have days set aside only for days when they are not feeling well. Despite the pressure for perfect attendance that will result in better customer service and efficiency, workers need fair sick leave programs that will give them time to recover without worrying about getting it. By granting them these advantages, it is certain that their performance will remain floating. However, some employees abuse it. I think this is why companies are moving away from personal and sick leave in favor of annual vacation hours grouped over a one-year period. There should be consequences for whoever abuses the systems rather than eliminating them because it will blatantly affect the company's staff when people start showing up to work due to illness..
