    Have you ever felt overwhelmed by school work? Two out of three students admit that at some point during their college career, they experienced school-related stress. Throughout college, students experience varying levels of stress that affect them psychologically, socially, and physically. Stressful circumstances were key to the development of mental illness in college students. Elizabeth Lukas states that “global research has shown that 20% of all cases of psychological illness are caused by existential frustration and value conflict” (Hong, p531-11p). From grueling homework to seemingly endless financial dilemmas, students often experience setbacks that require professional help. In describing the effects of mental illness, Linda J. Cook expresses that: "In a recent national survey of 13,500 college students, nearly 45 percent reported being so depressed that they had difficulty functioning and 94 percent reported reported feeling overwhelmed by everything they had to do.
