    September 11, 2001 was a horrible day not only for America, but for the entire world! Two hijacked planes hit the World Trade Center. One plane landed at the Pentagon and another was en route to the Pentagon when the passengers caught up with the hijackers and caused the plane to crash in Pennsylvania. September 11 was the most tragic moment in the United States because it was the largest attack on American soil, costing so many lives and crippling a large part of the American economy. September 11, 2001 was a day that everyone will remember! The Al-Qaeda group hijacked two planes and sent them to the World Trade Centers. This is the largest attack on American soil in its history. There have been many attacks, but this was without a doubt the largest ever. People from all over the world came to help people recover. As we speak, it is still affecting people all over the world. The fact is, no one ever saw it coming. When the building collapsed, many people died! America was shocked in many ways by these attacks. Most of those who died were firefighters, police officers and military personnel (until the fire stopped burning). The second largest attack on American soil couldn't even match 9/11, as 9/11 lost over 3,000 people and the second largest lost almost 500 people (Britannica). The lives lost were the greatest tragedy. People from different places lost their lives... middle of paper... this day will never be forgotten. People will always remember it. Many people lost their lives that day. The group that caused this disaster doesn't care. Osama bin Laden is primarily responsible. He led a group called Al-Qaeda, known for its very serious attacks. They attacked America long before 9/11. They wanted to send America a message to leave our country. America did not listen and so continued to attack us. The presidents during these attacks were President Bill Clinton and President George Bush. During the September 11 attacks, George Bush was in power. When the attack took place, George Bush was at an elementary school reading them a book called The Pet Goat (Google.com).
