  • Essay / My family: an important aspect of a family in the world

The first is violence, whether physical or emotional. Violent actions never happen in my family. Even though my parents will say it, there was no physical contact or emotional abuse. I cannot tolerate a man beating a woman or a woman beating a man, and I think it is extremely inappropriate for this to happen between two adults. If my future boyfriend or husband beats me once, I will break up or divorce immediately because after it happens once, it's going to happen two, three times and more. My other cousin was a victim of domestic violence growing up. Her parents are grumpy, so if she doesn't follow their rules, she gets beaten or slapped. Now, she has a little difficulty maintaining relationships with others and she cannot control her emotions well. I think this is linked to the violence she experienced directly. As a result, violence is the main thing I cannot accept at present.
