Essay / Project management: the importance of project management
Indeed, without proper monitoring, projects risk missing the objective and schedule by deviating from the initial plan, which can be a setback major in the progress of the project. Project management facilitates the process by ensuring that daily monitoring is in place to avoid going off track by strictly adhering to project guidelines. When a project report is tracked, it is easier to spot the deviation from the beginning and correct it. Not all projects succeed. At some point, projects fail to produce the expected result, either by delivering poor quality or failing completely. In such a situation, project managers make sure that they learn from past mistakes and shift gears to do the right thing when they take on another project. Lessons from the project can be used to make another project successful the next time it runs. It is not essential that the project succeed, but it is essential and logical that project managers learn and do something different, successful on a different project. Projects, although not directly generating knowledge, guarantee its capture and management, because knowledge disappears and represents an asset for most.
