There are several types of viruses and each has the power to compromise your computer in different ways. Usually, users can get virus by downloading questionable files without knowing that they contain viruses. As defined in Merriam Webster, “Virus is a computer program that is usually hidden within another seemingly harmless program and which itself produces copies and inserts them into other programs and usually performs some malicious action. Brain & Fenlon (n.d.) stated that one of the factors leading to the creation of viruses was the floppy disk. In the 1980s, programs were small and you could fit the entire operating system, a few programs, and some documents on one or two floppy disks.
