Today, some products are thin laptops, tablets, touch phones, etc. But despite these innovations, there is a program that can damage these gadgets and lead to software destruction. This is what we call “virus”. Viruses are well-known computer attackers and they cause great damage to your computer. There are several types of viruses and each has the power to compromise your computer in different ways. Usually, users can get virus by downloading questionable files without knowing that they contain viruses. As defined in Merriam Webster, “Virus is a computer program that is usually hidden within another seemingly harmless program and which itself produces copies and inserts them into other programs and usually performs some malicious action. Brain & Fenlon (n.d.) stated that one of the factors leading to the creation of viruses was the floppy disk. In the 1980s, programs were small and you could fit the entire operating system, a few programs, and some documents on one or two floppy disks. Many computers didn't have hard drives, so when you turned on your computer, it loaded the operating system and everything else from the floppy disk. But who are the first to write a virus? Secondly, how strong is the antivirus software in terms of computer security, securing the valuable information or files on your computer, protecting the computer from virus attacks. In addition, they want to know if it is really essential to have an antivirus.
