I also answer phone calls and take messages. The salary isn't bad...in fact if you ask me it's very reasonable, depending on your tenure and experience it determines how much you'll get paid. Overall, I think the administrative assistant career is a very complex but simple job that puts you in an office to do your job or in a cubicle. I don't think I would go for that, I would rather be the real director of the company.
