Medusa. At the top of Mount Olympus, the body of Zeus was found and he was murdered. There were three clues at the crime scene: a feather, an olive branch and a broken string from a lyre, and someone had stolen Zeus' thunderbolt. As a detective, I am here to prove that Medusa did not commit such a crime. Medusa can easily be accused of this crime, but she did not kill Zeus. She is completely innocent. Before Medusa, this ugly creature was “monstrous” (Adams 283). She was very beautiful. Her hair was her main glory (“Medusa”). Medusa has two other siblings and together they were called "Gorgone" (Adams283). Medusa could have any man she wanted because she was the most beautiful of them all. Her mother and father were named "Phorkys" and "Keto" ("Medusa"). "Medusa was the only mortal among the three. She lived in the north where no one visited her" ("Medusa"). Medusa had no friends. A terrible monster, Medusa, (The Greek Creatures) asks Athena for permission to visit the south, so that she can see the sun. Athena refused because she thought Medusa was trying to take her man away. So, Athena sent Perseus to kill her. Medusa was a creature that turned a living being into stone because Athena cast a spell on it. Perseus then killed her. He cut off her head and gave it to Athena because he was in her favor to kill her. Medusa is not part of any information found at the crime scene. Another reason is that Cronus is the father of Zeus and he had a problem. Cronus had six children, and when they were newborns he ate them all except Zeus because his wife tricked him into eating a stone ("Cronus"). I think he regrets not eating Zeus because he became a powerful god, so he decides to kill him and left behind strange evidence that won't point to him. Medusa should never have been suspected of this murder. She is innocent because Perseus killed her. Please agree with me with all the evidence I have presented saying Medusa did not kill Zeus. She may be an evil person who turns people to stone ("The Greek Creatures"). Medusa's actions proved that "forgetting a wrong is the best revenge", as John Ray (Stevenson) said. Medusa expresses her reactions to what Athena did to her. When Medusa was transformed into this ugly woman with “beautiful curls like hissing serpents” (“The Greek Creatures”), she did not attack Athena: she returned to her original place.
