What I find to be the most crucial content in becoming an educator is knowing what educational philosophy you will follow and instill in your classroom. After researching and presenting on perennialism, I know for sure that I would not be able to instill this philosophy in my future classroom because it is entirely teacher-centered and old-school. This has a lot to do with educating yourself directly from books. In perennialism, the teacher simply gives the answer without giving the students the opportunity to understand where they went wrong and how they can rectify their error.
