The American Revolution was an important war in world history. These were two large groups that clashed over their beliefs. The Patriots were righteous in their actions and in their belief that every person has the right to unthreatened life, liberty, and happiness. They were right in their beliefs and that is why we are here today. The life ; the Patriots believed in the right of everyone to a life without threat. In the Declaration, one of the complaints is "that we have been deprived, in many cases, of the advantages of trial by jury." This means that whatever the King of England wants, that's what happens. If he wants a man imprisoned he can do it, if he wants a man executed he can do it. Another grievance is: "He has excited internal insurrections among us and has endeavored to bring about the...indiscriminate destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions." ". This means that the King of England tried to cause the death of certain colonists by all means at his disposal. Another relevant grievance is the following: “He tried to make the military independent and superior to the civilian power..”...
