It is also noted that ISFJ personality types are often underestimated at work, at home and in their daily lives. The strange thing is that even though they can prove that they are reliable and produce high quality work, they are often taken for granted. This is because they are not good at delegating work and are not willing to show off their accomplishments. Most ISFJs have excellent memory and analytical skills. They work best in small groups and are pleasant, reliable colleagues, but often do not feel comfortable in supervisory positions. They form excellent bonds with their colleagues, but these are personal bonds rather than institutional loyalties. An ISFJ person's career prospects are best in "teaching, social work, most religious work, nursing, medicine (general practice only), clerical and secretarial work of any kind and certain types of administrative careers.” (Jung, nd) ISFJs, however, consider their families to be the first priority; they have a few close friends. ISFJs dislike confrontation and often hide their feelings. I feel like these personality traits combined describe me perfectly. In my professional life, I often feel underestimated because I don't know how not to give 110% all the time. However, those with stronger personality types are often rewarded because I won't take credit, even when credit is due. I am extremely uncomfortable in supervisory positions, which is why I have had the opportunity to move into various positions.
