This means that the pain that was felt at that time is still there, and with it, the cruelty and hurt. There are also those who have a very racist mentality and who are still alive today. Those who have not been resocialized. They could still teach and transmit the concepts of racism and inequality as a norm and correct way of living. This creates a cycle of negative socialization that will be much harder to break and rebuild with equality as its foundation. Positive point, those who have been resocialized are also still among us. They have a particular vision to teach to younger generations. They understand why equality should be a deeply rooted norm
