Get the original essayResearchAfter breaking down our topic, I narrowed down my research and did more detailed research. First, I founded a Henry Ford Heritage Association website. This website provided great information for my research. On the other hand, since this was the Henry Ford Association website, I thought that the information written on this website might be subjective. As a result, I checked two other websites to make sure the information I found on the first website matched that of other websites. After I finished looking at websites, I began to organize my research in order to complete my portion of the presentation. The first part was the Model T. In 1908, the production of the Model T was astonishing news for both the automobile industry and American society. The Model T helped him realize his dream: “to make a car for the masses.” He sold a huge amount of his Model T and 50% of the world's automobile production was Model T during those years. To better understand, this equates to almost half of the cars parked in IE parking spaces were all Model-Ts. Additionally, the Model T symbolized the transition from agricultural America to industrial America. My second part was the social impacts of Henry Ford. I divided its social impacts into four different segments: urbanization, new job opportunities, new social class and modern tourism. For urbanization, after Model T, people started moving into cities. It became easier for people to move between farms and towns and find work as cars replaced horses. The disappearance of horses as a means of transportation contributed to an agricultural revolution. Farmers have become more integrated into the urban environment, which has profoundly changed agriculture. To confirm statistically, before Henry Ford, only 25% of Americans lived in cities, but after Henry Ford, this percentage increased to 62.5%. Henry Ford is not the only factor in this increase but he had a significant impact on this population change. Second, new job opportunities were created in these three areas: factories, gas stations and road construction. As the number of cars on the roads increased, there was an additional need for workers for gas stations and road construction. Additionally, as Henry Ford increased production, his company needed more workers. Third, Henry Ford increased his employee's wages by 2.34 per day 5. This increase led to the creation of a new class.
