    Child pornography is a particularly serious crime in the United States. The crime involves the sexual exploitation of children by offenders who seek to benefit directly or indirectly from the vice. This article examines child pornography from different perspectives and explains its trends in arrests made in 2000 and 2006. The article uses data from the National Online Juvenile Victimization Study, which is a longitudinal survey of a sample of 2,500 law enforcement agencies nationwide. WE. Trends in child pornography based on ethnicity are also highlighted, with both whites and Hispanics being investigated. The pattern of crimes, arrests, and prosecutions of individuals in connection with child pornography is discussed. The story of the perpetrators is also used to describe certain aspects of child pornography. The distribution of offenders between different age groups is also outlined in the article. The fate of people arrested and prosecuted for child pornography is evaluated and analyzed according to the severity and effectiveness of the sanctions. Child pornography crimes are almost stable in the United States of America. Race has an influence because certain races are more associated with vice. In the two years that the studies presented in this article were conducted, child pornography was found to be prevalent among non-Hispanic Whites (Wolak, Finkelhor & Mitchell 36). This implies that white men are the most notorious when it comes to child pornography. It is also evident that this vice also occurs in most parts of the country and across divides in terms of social, academic and economic backgrounds. The United States is a real problem in real time as it targets the most innocent members of society. The police, who are very vigilant against child pornography, are deploying more efforts to fight against this vice. The risk posed by offenders is exceptionally high given that they are more likely to succeed by targeting children. Penalties should be made more severe and stricter national laws should be enforced. In addition to adopting better methods to combat child pornography, knowledge of this same crime is crucial. This will boost efforts to curb the use of technology to perpetuate child pornography.
