Governments and businesses rely heavily on someone working in public administration to ensure that all programs are implemented and managed. It is the responsibility of public administration to effectively recommend changes. Careers in public administration can be competitive because they are considered high-ranking positions working directly with government officials and even the United Nations. Therefore, the impact of social factors is not always taken into account when referenced under a political role. Thus, it is inadequate when public administrators analyze government activities.
