  • Essay / Reflective Essay on Prison - 1098

Some people leave prison with more problems than they had when they entered. It's their fault they're in jail, but it's not their fault, all they do is stare at a blank wall for about 22 hours a day. They only spend one hour outside per day with little or no contact with the outside world. Imagine doing this for seven years. That's about 3,000 days spent in a prison cell with limited visits and phone calls. Once released, inmates have no job, because no one wants to hire a “criminal.” If they do, they pay them less than they should receive, so they don't get much support from the authorities.
