Essay / The Development of Geophysical Service Incorporated
Texas Instruments, based in Dallas, Texas, founded in 1930 as Geophysical Service Incorporated by Eugene McDermott and Clarence Kracher. At the time, GSI was one of the pioneering companies in the field of seismic exploration for the oil industry. The oil and gas market was not stable, which led GSI to look for other directions. By 1939, GSI had made major changes to its configuration and became a subsidiary of Coronado Corporation, an oil company. After being part of the Coronado Corporation for three years, Eugene McDermott and three other GSI employees, Erik Jonsson, HB Peakcock and Cecil Green, purchased full ownership of the Cornado Corporation. At that time, GSI was a pioneer in the electronic engineering market, and when World War II broke out, GSI had already signed major contracts with the US military. In 1951, after a few years of providing contracts to the US Army, GSI decided to make a few more changes to the settings and did a reformatting. Eventually the company name was changed to Texas Instruments and the company was incorporated by Eugene McDermott, Erik Jonsson, Cecil Green and Patrick Haggerty, who joined GSI shortly after the end of World War II. Since then, Texas Instruments has been considered the pioneer of the electronics industry. Texas instruments are known for their many innovations, these innovations have changed the world from one side to the other, and without these unique innovations, the world would probably have been different. What the world would have done without the transistor radio or the portable calculator, we will never know, but we do know that these types of innovations put Texas Instruments on the world map. In early 1954, Texas Instruments invented...... middle of paper ...... of its profits generated outside the United States, during the years 2011 and 2012, the company's revenues in outside the United States have declined considerably. a bit and as of 2012, 86% of its revenue was generated outside the United States region. As a company that generates almost 90% of its total revenue outside its home country, we clearly see that Texas Instruments is a company that pursues globalization and promotes its principles. South Korea's Ministry of Education (MOA) plans to spend $2 billion on educational infrastructure to provide its students with better tools to succeed in the real world. And since we know that South Korean culture truly appreciates the value of higher education, it is almost essential for Texas Instruments to seize this opportunity and offer its unique product for the benefit of South Korean culture..
