Get an Original Essay This Personal Development Plan (PDP) includes inferences for leading others, refining the mission where appropriate, promoting innovation and creativity in the process; while ensuring continuous communication. A leader cannot simply determine the team's destination, but must provide guidance, education, support change, and demonstrate respect during the journey. To be able to achieve results, the leader must be able to set priorities and help team members select the most important tasks. These goals and subsequent development opportunities will be realistic and include actionable activities, which will include soliciting feedback on them. This is not a wish list, but a pragmatic and operational document, for which full responsibility and monitoring is my responsibility. The short list of my personal strengths includes personal and professional skills, accountability and change management, continuing professional development (through lifelong learning), and advocacy for members of the team. The short list of professional assets includes intellectual power, a high level of commitment and drive (i.e. tireless), an attitude that is not averse to change, that develops strong follow-through and ability innate to influence at the company and board level. I generally don't allow problems to escalate, nor do I allow failures to devalue the effort or recognition required for the attempt. A major component of authentic leadership is that strengths are developed throughout life. My Personal Leadership Development Plan Opportunities Becoming a great leader is a daily process that is the culmination of my continuing education, my professional experiences, my life experiences and my perspectives and values. Three important skills (facilitating innovation, creativity and team collaboration) are the areas I want to focus on in the PDP. Gaining additional skills in these areas is critical to preparing me for an expanded human resources role within my organization. The expanded tasks incorporated into the PDP will force me to perform, learn and help impact and influence my leadership skills.
