  • Essay / Enhanced Movement - 959

Moving from one place to another is a necessity for almost all living organisms. Whether it's sliding, walking, jumping, crawling or flying, it's bound to happen one day. Humans like to move from one place to another quickly and without doing any work. This is why humans generally avoid running. There tends to be an unfavorable expression like a grimace or a sigh accompanied by the quote, "I think I need to go for a run." Although hated by many people around the world, the positive sides of running can be enough to turn lazy people into hard workers. Running is a great choice for physical and mental improvement because it helps keep you active, relieves stress, and builds self-esteem. Running is not just for the young, fit and energetic people of the world. It can be for anyone or anyone. From children to adolescents, adults and the elderly, they can all become runners. All you need is a pair of shoes and sportswear, which are extremely easy to find. There is a common misconception that running is only to win and going fast is the answer. Training for Young Distance Runners by Larry Greene and Russ Pate says that “runners. . . may come to think that finishing first is the only measure of success. This would be a shame because only a few runners, usually the fittest and most experienced, have a realistic chance of winning a race. Therefore, it is important to personalize the goals and set them realistically, because only the person who runs knows their body. I have learned throughout my 6 full years of running that I will not win every race or succeed in every workout. By setting goals that were ambitious, but not too difficult, I learned to get used to my body. It increased my self-esteem... middle of paper ... until it was a viable way to get around. After all, it only takes a little energy, a few shoes, and a few comfortable sweats. As simple as it may seem, many people shy away from this type of exercise. With all the benefits, you'd think everyone should run. In just twenty minutes of moving at a gentle pace, you can eliminate stress, gain self-confidence and regain good physical and mental shape. It seems almost impossible to avoid this kind of agreement. Works Cited Greene, Larry and Russ Pate. Training for young long-distance runners. Np: np, 1997. xii.
