The idea that the guy gets the girl in the end is something that people have a hard time relating to because they struggle daily to get what they want and usually want to see it happen to someone else so they know they're not the only one. While it would be cool to see Sammy catch the girls and be the hero in the end, that's not something that would happen in real life. If anything, the girls might say thank you awkwardly. Other than that, it would still be awkward because he doesn't even know them and they might even consider it creepy. Disappointment is much more credible
