A Streetcar Named Desire Essay: Stella as the Ideal Woman After reading a play titled A Streetcar Named Desire, written by Tennessee Williams, there was a whole series of tests. discussion about what women considered the ideal man. Was Stanley Kawalski the kind of man women secretly yearned for all their lives? Even though many answers have been provided, some questions have not been raised: what makes the ideal woman? What attracts men to women? Stanley Kawalski may be the ideal "macho" man, but what about his wife, Stella? After further investigation, I concluded that Stella was indeed the ideal woman. One of the qualities that makes Stella such a fantastic woman is her compassion. After all, who else could take care of a sister like Blanche? Stella was extremely tolerant of her sister. She was sensitive to the needs of Blanche and Stanley. She knew deep in her heart that Stanley loved her. This allowed Stella to care for her husband despite the fact that he mistreated her while she was pregnant with their child. We must not forget that she forgives. Although Blanche made all these horrible accusations against her husband, Stella wasn't too upset to ensure she received proper treatment. She cared so much about her older sister that she arranged for Blanche to "rest in the country." How nice of him. Time and again she demonstrated how kind and forgiving she was. Another quality that makes Stella most endearing to men is her knowledge. Stella has recognized her place and is completely satisfied with this understanding. It's his job to clean house after Stanley and his poker buddies. She knows she will come back to Stanley no matter what he does. This can range from a simple lie to the rape of one's sister. Stella realizes that she will remain loyal to Stanley for the rest of her life. This makes her an attractive woman. What man wouldn't appreciate someone like her? A final characteristic that attracts the opposite sex is their ignorance. They say ignorance is bliss, and in this scenario, it's true. She ignores her husband's mischievous traits. This means that her husband is able to do whatever he wants, without any consequences. Of course, it's possible that she senses what's happening and simply refuses to do anything. The end result is ultimately the same. It's no wonder Stanley loves being with Stella so much. Any “manly” man will attest that this is how a woman should be. “Every man is a king” and must therefore be able to realize all his desires. In conclusion, Stella is indeed the ideal woman. No man could resist the urge to have a relationship with her. Unlimited freedom, free housekeeping and great “love” are all guaranteed with a girl like Stella. Every woman needs to know her place like Stella. It's not like she doesn't get anything in exchange for all her attributes. She acquires a deserving husband like Stanley, and he is undoubtedly a good choice. Ultimately, it is qualities like these that make Stella, or any girl, a stellar woman..
