The objectives of this plan will extend over several years. These plans will give the organization major goals to achieve, namely becoming the county's first level three trauma unit. Through the process of developing a strategic plan, it is common to identify an organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and potential threats. In order to develop an operational plan, the company must have the foundations of its strategic plan. In other words, to know how to get there, you need to know where they're going. Once we know where we are going, determining how to get there is the task of an operational plan. The operational plan will show how daily activities are carried out in support of the organization's strategic objectives. Once plans are in place, they should be monitored to determine the need for change. The best way to achieve this is to incorporate KPIs into data collection and progress plans.
