  • Essay / My Home Life - 1909

I would describe my home life as being peaceful, loving and spiritual, since it's just my father and I living together, we have built a very good communicative relationship in which we share our thoughts on different points. of points of view dealing with world issues, sports and biblical truth. My view of authority and discipline wasn't too in my favor a few years ago, during my teenage years. Growing up with my father, I had to experience a strict but healthy side of discipline in which I disagreed with a rebellious, know-it-all attitude. My father having the power to discipline me in simple things like cleaning my room and putting things back where I bought them from were actually small steps to following the rules. Also commands that required more than just effort to complete. These things, which we thought were enemies, brought a fourth character and integrity. In other words, these disciplinary tests that I thought were insane prepared me for the order that I would have to submit to the ordination of Heavenly Father. We worship the Lord in common ways, through sermons and songs, but our primary source of worship is in discussing God's wonderful works in creation and nature. My father and I deeply recognize God's work on earth and worship by squeezing an orange and tasting the sweetness of Christ, which may seem absurd to one who is not sensitive to the things of the spirit. Recognizing and not taking for granted all that the Lord has planned for us is the true heart of worship. The Christian life is unlike anything this world has to offer. That alone says a lot, but to touch on a few benefits I have experienced, not necessarily while living as a Christian, because these days there seem to be various ways for a person to claim to be saved without showing any fruit of conversion , but I speak as a young man who has personally tasted the mercy and grace of God and I must say that the blessing of the true Christian is to understand how weak and depraved we are. We can do nothing apart from God, and realizing that makes me cling to Him with all the passion I am rewarded. The behavior of a Christian, I would prefer the word God seeker to be that of a person who acts, speaks and behaves to the glory of God.
