    Due to the ban on medicines, the market is shrinking and the price of medicines is increasing. Under the effect of strict enforcement of drug prohibition, many black markets are emerging to satisfy the growing need for drugs. Additionally, drug users must share needles to take their drugs, as the ban limits the sale of safe needles. As of 2010 (Miron, 2014), approximately 8% of HIV patients use IV medications in the United States. Many people believe that banned drugs can lead to an increase in the rate of violence, but if drugs were legalized, the rate of crime could be reduced, especially organized crime. Buyers and sellers cannot resolve trade disputes with black market courts. This type of conflict can be resolved by legalizing
