Essay / Teamphone: Disaster Recovery System Application, Review Document
Table of ContentsSummaryProblem StatementApplicationsLiterature SurveyConclusionSummaryWe look at how to use networks with smartphones to provide communications during disaster recovery. By reducing the communication gap between different types of wireless networks, we designed and implemented a system that provides Android phones with disaster communication capabilities. The application consists of two elements: a messaging system between the rescuer and the victim and a self-rescue system. The messaging system between the rescuer and the victim includes a cellular network allowing good communication. Say no to plagiarism. Such a group of Android phones can cooperatively receive notification and send emergency messages in an energy-efficient manner with their location and position information to facilitate rescue operations. We implemented the application as a prototype application on the Android platform and deployed it on all types of smartphones. We are creating an application with a centralized server for communication. First for the administrator who will monitor the victim and the rescuer and two others for the rescuer and the victim of the disaster. Problem Statement Over the years, some countries have faced different types of disasters that have claimed many lives and damaged many properties. In disaster-prone countries like Pakistan, the success of reconstruction and rehabilitation projects is very important for the normalization of life in disaster-affected areas. Injuries from accidents are one of the leading causes of hospitalization among older adults, often leading to rapid decline in functionality and death. Applications The TeamPhone application brings together the messaging system and the self-rescue system, implemented in Java on the Android system. When TeamPhone launches, Wi-Fi will be configured in ad hoc mode and users will need to specify which system to use. For the messaging system, AODV and DTN2 are initialized for routing, and the messaging application allows users to send and receive messages. Messages can be sent in three ways: via AODV to reach the destination; by gateways to store the message at the command center from which the message will ultimately be delivered when the destination connects to the command center (e.g., nodes periodically retrieve messages from the command center directly or through gateways); by DTN2 in static routing mode and in Flood routing mode. In the prototype, the first method is the default and the other two are optional. The messaging system is also designed to receive emergency messages from self-rescue nodes and transmit them to the command center. The hello message from the messaging node and the self-rescue node is marked differently so as to handle the one-way link between the messaging node and the self-rescue node, only the messaging node can receive hello messages of the self-rescue node. In this case, the messaging node will not receive the emergency message from the self-rescue nodes since the self-rescue nodes are unable to discover the messaging node. The messaging node can always be alerted by receiving the hello message, and this alert function is implemented withthe AODV user space daemon.Literature SurveyConsidering global emergency reporting systems, regardless of their communication method, whether wired or wireless, we mainly studied some unique parameters of the systems which will help us define the strong objectives of our proposed systems. The systems by generation listed below give us a good idea of the investigation we conducted. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Closed circuit television (CCTV) is the use of cameras and its wired or wireless network to transmit a signal to its DVR. This can be deployed as a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint link between the camera and the monitor. These are mainly used in surveillance areas where they are needed, from stores to airports etc. In mechanical and production plants, these video cameras are used to monitor and make decisions accordingly in a single room. Some places, such as high heat generated during metal casting or other area where the worker cannot maintain that environment at that time, such video surveillance are more useful and suitable. This depends on the operating requirements of these continuous video surveillance systems or the amount of time spent on a monitor. Today we have advanced digital video recorders (DVRs), which record 24 hours a day for many years. It can run it and record it continuously to storage such as disk or tape. Besides, these video surveillance supports IP-based surveillance and centralized network storage such as cloud.Advantage and disadvantage: It can work and can be placed anywhere. The DVR should always be turned on.Smoke detectors Smoke detection systems are an emergency detection system in the event of a fire which generates smoke first. Such detectors are widely used in areas where large facilities like factories and hotels are located. These systems signal the problem with a sort of audible alarm to alert the nearby public. Older smoke detectors used the physical process of ionization, while newer technology allows us to use the photoelectric diode to detect smoke in the air and send an alarm after it. In large areas like factories, it runs mainly on mains and not on batteries. Advantage and disadvantage: It can detect fire easily and accurately. He can only do this once and not repeatedly. Natural Disaster Monitor App (Developed by Dominic925) This smartphone based app The app gives you real-time updates on all global natural calamities like earthquakes, tsunamis, cyclones, floods and Volcanic eruptions on Google Earth map background. The app uses alerts issued by the Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System (GDACS). The app displays icons on the map with colors: green, orange and red, etc., each indicating the severity of the natural calamity. On clicking the respective icons, the list displays the date and time, region, disaster type and other related details of the calamity. Advantage and Disadvantage: It displays disasters on Google Maps. It cannot assist, coordinate and assist the victims. Tsunami Alert (developed by Palta Software) This application is capable and designed to help people living along the Pacific and Indian Ocean coasts, who have witnessed the large-scale devastation scale caused by the 2004 tsunami. The main feature of the application is that a user will receive updates.
