  • Essay / Charity Essay - 658

Charity refers to giving, organizations, place, or entertainment. Practicing charity can involve acts such as practicing generosity. Through this essay, I will examine different elements of charity in relation to the Summa Theologiae. As a first starting point, charity is explained as a two-way component, which has charity itself and which follows wisdom. The first consideration is given from a five-way perspective, which includes charity itself, the objects of charity, its acts, the contradictory vices and the principles related to it. The first part of “Charity Itself” constitutes the main discussion of this essay. These two parts include itself and charity considered as itself. I will try to explain the different roles of charity as "itself" which is made up of these different aspects in which charity plays a role. Is charity friendship? Is charity created in the soul? Is it a virtue? Is it a unique virtue? Is it a unique virtue? Is it the greatest virtue? Does a true virtue exist without it ? Is it the form of all the virtues? For the first case of charity, being friendship is not true. Charity is not friendship because nothing is so close as existing with your friend. This doubt is attributed to philosophers. And charity is exercised by man towards God but does not exist among men. This confirms that charity is not friendship. According to the Bible, Christ speaks of true friendship. This is where the fear of God and the teachings of divine scriptures bring men together. Contrary to this, Jo.xv.15 quotes "I will no longer call you servants... but my friends" according to the philosopher's argument; this statement was said by reason and...... middle of paper ...... it is more than its subject or purpose. On the other hand, Augustine maintains that charity is a virtue that unites us with God, when our friendship or friendship is focused on a specific purpose. We can notice that charity is functioning properly for its purpose. This tells us that the effectiveness of an act depends on the power or intentions of the person carrying out the act. It is therefore obvious that charity is not sufficient. But it is the product of an effect which comes from a justification of the soul, because it connects us to God, and can be a proof of a divine power, in which charity plays a great role. In conclusion, throughout this essay I have tried to describe both sides of the three attributes of charity; if charity is friendship? Is charity created in the soul? Is this a virtue? and at the end I expressed some opinions and conclusions.
