  • Essay / Mother Nature always fights back - 983

Did you know that 14 billion tons of waste are dumped into the ocean every year? And most of them are plastic. Think about it, fish, you might be ingesting plastic too. If you love breathing fresh air or looking at blue skies, you should find out how to continue doing so. If taking the time to catch a few waves on the beach or if fishing is a big part of your life, you need to be informed about the ways pollution can prevent you from doing so. If you want to live a longer, healthier life for yourself or others you care about, you should learn the different ways to improve your chances. Over the course of my life, I have been to the following beaches: Ocean, Pacific, La Jolla, Imperial and Solana. While visiting these beaches, I saw birds eating cigarette butts. I stepped on plastic as well as trash on my way to the water. I also saw people throwing trash on the ground because they were too lazy to walk a little more. I hiked different hiking trails such as: Cowles Mountain, Mission Trails, Torrey Pines and Lake Murray. While hiking, I saw people fall because the trail was worn down not only by us humans, but also by Mother Nature. Throughout my article, I will discuss how pollution affects everyone and everything around us. What you can do to help reduce pollution. Last but not least, what will the world look like with and without my solution. Now I want you to imagine that you are heading to the beach; It’s been six months since you last went swimming. Naturally, once there, you are filled with joy; therefore, you jump into the water. Once you're chest-deep in the cool, icy water, you feel something near you. As you look down, horror floods your face when you see a dead seagull entwined between your legs. When...... middle of paper ......other nature by assisting in beach and park cleanups, participating in trail restoration, and raising awareness among those near you. While you do this, I will do the same thing as you. As well as starting my own club/foundation to expand my knowledge about pollution, how it affects everything and what they can do to help prevent pollution. I hope that today I have lit a fire within you that will continue to grow as you help the environment in which you live. That this fire will spread until the whole world is in flames.
