    Have you ever heard of teenage pregnancy? Well guess what it is, a real thing. Teenage pregnancy can happen to anyone, no matter who you are. Some of us may have heard of horror stories like that of the 2008 Gloucester High School pregnancy pact, in which 17 girls agreed to get pregnant together. Yeah, I know it's really scary, isn't it. You need to think about why girls would agree to get pregnant? It seems ridiculous to want to deliberately ruin your adolescence. This could have happened because they were not adequately informed about the issues surrounding teenage pregnancy. This is why we need to disseminate information about this. We need to raise awareness about teen pregnancy before it is too late. The effects on a teenager who may become pregnant can vary from different problems. Of course, this affects the teenager, but remember that it can cause problems with family and school. I mean having a baby can be very expensive, but having one at a young age when you haven't taken charge of your life yet can be even more difficult. Be honest, we mostly depend on our parents for money, but if you get pregnant, your parents want you to be responsible and help them. You also need to consider your education at the same time. School can be hard to keep up with, it can be even harder having a little baby to worry about. This is why teenage pregnancies are believed to be the main reason why young girls drop out of school. Less than half of girls graduate from high school. Less than 2% will graduate from college. I'm sure we've all heard of TV shows that talk about teen pregnancy. MTV is documenting a show called 16 and Pregnant, which explores the lives of different young girls as they begin their pregnancies. That 1,100 teenage girls will be. give birth every day. The United States has a much higher rate of teenage pregnancy than its trading partners and competitors. Policymakers are working to reduce public spending while trying to revitalize the economy. This is why it is important to stay focused on preventing unplanned and teenage pregnancies. Teenage girls need to be informed about the bad things that can result from teenage pregnancy. There are many ideas that we can realize. School programs and organizations can become more involved in prevention. Yes, there are policies like the absinence policy. This is obviously not enough to help. Even though the number of teen pregnancies is declining in the United States, that doesn't mean we can't continue to prevent them. Let's all raise awareness before it's too late.
