In this experience, I saw a client ask the counselor what he thought he should do in a situation where both choices were undesirable. The advisor did not provide feedback and it seemed the client left more frustrated and confused than when he arrived. I sympathized with him and frankly was a little annoyed with the advisor for not giving him advice or his opinion. After the session, the counselor mentioned that it was necessary for the client to make the decision himself. Although I could appreciate it, I wasn't entirely satisfied with it
