Essay / My favorite place in my grandparents' forest
I come from the forest that surrounds my grandparents' humble cottage. It always explodes with life. Birds whistle their own melodies as they gracefully fly over the trees while cows moo in the fields. The forest was my escape from reality. This is where my imagination came to life. I knew the forest like the back of my hand. My favorite place in the entire forest was this little hill in the middle of a meadow deep in the forest. I was drawn to it like a butterfly to a light. It was my little secret, no one else knew, not even my brothers who tried to follow me through the forest. Even though this place is magical and wonderful, a terrifying thing happened in my innocent wonderland. As I walked towards my meadow, I noticed one of my brothers following me through the dense forest. Instead of going to my little hiding place, I decided to go deeper into the forest to get him off my trail. After walking for a few more minutes, I turn around and notice that he is no longer there. Hoping he would give up, I returned to the cabin, continued back to my meadow. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on “Why Violent Video Games Should Not Be Banned”? Rolling my eyes, I said “no, why?”. She immediately ran out of the cabin into the woods, screaming his name. I ran after her realizing he hadn't come home after his trip to the woods. Running, I cross the forest, deeper than ever before. I came across a ruined house bigger than my grandparents' house but smaller than ours. It was old and destroyed by the weather. I approached it cautiously, fearing that wild animals might be hiding there. There was a huge crash inside that would have sent me running in the other direction, but a small cry of laughter echoed through the woods. It was familiar, they were my brothers. No longer careful, I ran inside and found him covered in dirt playing with the toys the previous owners had left behind. I picked it up and took it back to my mother's house. Later that day, I asked my great-grandparents about the house in the woods. They told me they had never seen him or anyone near him since they lived here. Offering to take them home, they refused and said it was better to keep it a secret..
