In one year, 100,000 people died from taking a substance that was supposed to treat a disease, but in reality, these people died from the drug and not from the disease itself. Today, over a 23-year period, 10 people have died due to vitamin-related problems. That doesn't even equate to one death per year. Taking medications can have dangerous consequences, while vitamins do not have serious side effects like medications. When a loved one is taking certain medications that cause terrible side effects, wouldn't it be helpful to look for alternative treatment methods that don't cause painful side effects? Especially our elderly people, we want them to treat their health problems, but not with substances that decrease their quality of life.
