" In this quote, Tupac asked his audience to take a second to imagine a Rick kid driving around in the hood with a Benz while a poor Amirian African boy struggles to keep his friends. Tupac uses his lyrics to help paint a picture through his lyrics about a black person's life, which brings us to the imagery. The use of imagery in this song is amazing. Without even watching the music video and just listening to the song, I could easily imagine everything Tupac was trying to explain. This is what makes Tupac the best rapper yet! Another use of imagery is when he said "Dying inside, but on the outside you look fearless, while tears roll down your cheeks." By this quote, we as an audience should understand that there is more to this song that Tupac is trying to explain. In this quote, I feel like he was explaining that as African Americans, black women tend to always wear that smile on our face, no matter the situation, when we know that something in us is dying or just not okay. For some reason, we black women have a habit of hiding our true feelings and situations. Finally, the use of symbols related to imagery. “They have money for wars, but they cannot feed the poor.” What was Tupac really trying to say? This quote symbolizes a lot about America as a whole and how as a nation we spend a lot of our money on weapons of war, but yet there are little children spending days and weeks without food.
