    Fixing Massachusetts' InfrastructureIn today's world, people are looking for ways to improve their quality of life and the environment around them. These ways can be as simple as recycling or as important as improving infrastructure. One of the biggest issues in recent years has been the state of Massachusetts' infrastructure, which received a cumulative "D" grade in 2009 by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). By planning, designing and undertaking new projects, engineers have responded to an endless amount of problems with current infrastructure. Massachusetts, although it has made many efforts in the past to repair its crumbling infrastructure, still has a very long way to go before it achieves an acceptable rating. Although it comes at a cost, the state can repair every section of its infrastructure, including transit, utilities, and bridges, by raising standards, properly funding projects, and planning and designing itself. even the infrastructure.
