Sexual harassment in the workplace is very serious and unacceptable in any workplace in the United States. Individuals should be able to report to work without fear of sexual harassment. “Sexual harassment of men does exist, although there is less information about the problem because men are less likely to report the behavior. » (workharassment.net). In addition to sexual harassment, there are workplace relations. There are good working relationships and bad working relationships. How can victims of sexual harassment in the workplace stop this inappropriate behavior? What is considered a good and bad working relationship? In my article, I will discuss sexual harassment in the workplace and what one can do when they feel harassed. I will also discuss the pros and cons of working relationships. Actions victims can take include speaking to the individual, filing a complaint against the individual, filing a discrimination complaint against the person, and suing for any emotional or physical injuries a person may suffer. There are many benefits to working relationships, such as better teamwork, higher productivity, lower turnover rates, and higher employee retention rates.
